1967
The Begining
The story of Bell Heating & Air begins with Billy Bell, who started his career at Sears & Roebuck in 1963, working in the service department. He quickly gained valuable experience working on home appliances, and before long, he knew he wanted more. Billy had a vision: to start his own company that offered sales, service, and installation all under one roof. In 1967, he made that dream a reality, and never looked back.
What began with Billy, his wife Barbara, and one employee soon grew into something much larger. His dedication, integrity, and honest work built the foundation of Bell Heating & Air. With hard work, determination, and a willingness to innovate, like introducing two-way radios in the field to improve efficiency at a time when it was groundbreaking, Billy established the company as a household name in the community.

In 1976, Billy’s oldest son, Ricky Sr., joined the family business and developed the same love for the trade.

New Leadership
By 1995, Ricky Sr. became the owner, carrying on his father’s legacy while pushing the company forward. He brought operations online and streamlined processes, holding the business to an even higher standard of productivity and professionalism.

The next generation soon followed. Ricky Jr. joined full-time in 2000 while pursuing his business management degree at ULM.

Jake Bell
Jake Bell came aboard in 2012 after playing college baseball at LSUA.
With Ricky Bell, Sr.’s guidance, both Ricky Bell, Jr. and Jake Bell quickly grew into leadership during the following years. Together, they became customer favorites, carrying on the Bell tradition of service built on family and trust.
Passing the Torch
In 2022, Ricky Jr. stepped into the role of General Manager, bringing fresh vision and a passion for technology to meet the demands of an ever-changing HVAC industry.
